Carpet : The latest carpet fibers are designed to look better longer, but no      carpet is completely maintenance free.  Keeping it looking and performing great requires the right kind of care, including : 

1.  Frequent vacuuming;  Non-traffic areas- once a week

     Light-traffic areas- twice a week

     Moderate to heavy- two to five times a week

2.  Periodic professional cleaning- At least once a year

     Hot water extraction method ( steam cleaning) is the    

     preferred method.  We can do this for you, give us a

     call to set up an appointment.  

3.  Spot Cleaning- If spot removal is needed, we carry an

      excellent biodegradable, odor-free spot cleaner.

4.  Repairs-  We can perform various carpet repairs:

      Re-stretching- If a carpet over time has a bubble or a

      raised area, we can stretch it flat.

      Seam repair- If a carpet seam comes loose or opens

      we can usually re-seam the old carpet.

Sheet Vinyl : Vacuuming or sweeping at least once a week is sufficient. If needed, occasionally clean with a cloth or mop (micro-fiber or terrycloth) slightly moistened with a mild detergent. We also carry various manufacturer brands of rinse-free vinyl cleaners.

Laminate Floors: Follow the same instructions for sheet vinyl.

Wood Floors : Vacuum or sweep regularly. The vacuum head must be a brush or felt type.  Never mop or flood your floor with water or other products.  Use the manufacturers recommended products in conjunction with a micro-fiber swifter mop.
