What is a laminate floor? It is really a combination of
special resins (melamine), paper layers, fiber
core, and a print film that are all fused together into s solid mass.
The melamine-impregnated surface with aluminum oxide makes it
resistant to dirt and dust and very scratch resistant. Due to it's
construction and components, laminate flooring will not stain, fade
from sunlight, and the finish is extremely impact and burn resistant.
These floors have precision tongue and groove edges that are fit
together dry, via snap or tap-in installation (floated) over various
different qualities of foam padding.
Laminate floors come in a wide variety of wood designs, and
natural slate, stone
and ceramic tile looks.
